Jaime Ursic
Jaime Ursic reminds me of one of my favorite artists, Mark Rothko. Her paintings are so simple and full of feeling.

Paper Dolls
Paper dolls are wonderful. I recently found an envelope of paper dolls I played with when I was little. I remember my mom helping me cut them out and how delicate they were. Yesterday, I bought a birthday card for someone with little paper dolls that punched out. I bought one for me too! These dolls are from Demarco Designs.

LockWasher Design
This makes me want to go to a thrift store or a junk yard (or my garage!) and see what I can put together. I am sure I could make nothing as cute as LockWasher Design. I love the whole recycling idea and the creativity of these robots!

Jackson Pollock
After seeing a Jackson Pollock's painting at a museum, I saw his genius. This is a fun sight to try your own splatter painting -- http://www.jacksonpollock.org/

Una Flor de Papel
In an attempt to become more one with nature (mmm), this year we got a surfing calender with the phases of the moon as a major feature. Today, I saw this calender by Cecilia in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She features the calender on her blog, Flor de Papel. How cool is this! It organizes and simplifies the whole moon phase thing.

Luis Santi Jr.
Web sites get more exciting all the time! Luis Santi Jr.'s web site is the magic of flash and graphic design - purely enjoyable at every click. This picture is Luis's favorite cologne which he lost while on a California trip. A delightful story he tells in the text part of his site. Check it out -- Phatterism.com
Cherokee Wisdom
Two Wolves
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a
battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two
"wolves" inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret,
greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false
pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility,
kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee replied, "The one you feed."
